India’s Leap Into Space: Gaganyaan’s Mission Unveiled

In a significant announcement on February 27, Prime Minister Narendra Modi revealed the final list of astronaut candidates for India’s first manned space mission, Gaganyaan, under the aegis of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). This mission, aiming for a 2025 launch, marks India’s ambitious steps into human spaceflight, pending the success of two crucial test flights.

What is Gaganyaan?

Gaganyaan represents ISRO’s mission to send astronauts into low-Earth orbit aboard an indigenous spacecraft. The Vehicle and Module

The Gaganyaan mission will be launched on the LVM-3 rocket, a three-stage vehicle equipped with advanced propulsion systems.
